**About Our Jewellery**

What metals do you use?

Vera Poetica pieces are handcrafted in sterling silver, brass and gold. Each product listing specifies the metal used. We also incorporate Australian opals and other natural stones into many of our pieces.

Is your jewellery solid metal or plated?

All Vera Poetica pieces are clearly described in each product listing — please read descriptions carefully before purchasing. We work with solid sterling silver, solid brass and solid gold, and may also offer gold plated pieces as part of our collection. We will always be transparent about the materials used in every piece.

What is an Australian opal?

Australia produces approximately 95% of the world's opals. Australian opals are prized for their extraordinary play of colour — the way light dances through the stone in shifting rainbows. Each opal is completely unique, making every piece that features one a one of a kind treasure.

 

Are Vera Poetica pieces really handmade?

Every Vera Poetica jewellery piece is designed and crafted by hand in our studio in the NSW hinterland. We use traditional silversmithing techniques including wax carving and lost wax casting, with all finishing — filing, polishing and stone setting — done entirely by hand. No two pieces are identical.

**Sizing**

How do I know what ring size I am?

Please refer to our Ring Sizing Guide for full instructions on how to measure your finger at home and a complete US to Australian size conversion chart. If you are still unsure please contact us before ordering.

What if my ring doesn't fit?

Please refer to our sizing guide carefully before ordering. We are unable to accept returns due to incorrect size selection, however please contact us if you have any concerns before placing your order.

**Ordering**

Can I change or cancel my order after placing it?

Please contact us as soon as possible if you need to change or cancel your order. We will do our best to accommodate changes however once a piece has entered production or been dispatched we may be unable to make alterations.

Do you offer gift wrapping?

All Vera Poetica orders are packaged with care and arrive ready to gift. Each piece is presented beautifully so no additional gift wrapping is necessary.

Is a price or invoice included in the parcel?

No — we never include a printed invoice or pricing information inside your parcel. Every Vera Poetica order arrives gift ready, so you can send directly to a recipient without any concern. A digital receipt will be sent to your email address at the time of purchase.

 

**Shipping**

How long will my order take to arrive?

Australian orders are dispatched within 3–5 business days and delivered via Australia Post with tracking included. International delivery times vary by destination — please refer to our Shipping page for full details.

How will I know when my order has been shipped?

You will receive an automatic email with your tracking details as soon as your order has been dispatched.

Do you ship internationally?

Yes — we ship worldwide via Australia Post International. Shipping costs are calculated at checkout based on your location. Please note that international customers are responsible for any customs duties or taxes applicable in their country.

 

**Returns**

What if my item arrives damaged?

We are so sorry if this happens. Please photograph both the packaging before you open it, then the item and contact us within 48 hours of receiving your order. We will work quickly to make it right.

Can I return something if I change my mind?

As a small independent handmade studio we are unable to accept change of mind returns. We encourage you to read all product descriptions carefully and contact us with any questions before purchasing.
