Vera Poetica jewellery is made slowly, inspired by the intricacies of tiny things and the simplicity of nature — seeds, windswept sand, stringybark and dew drops — and by ancient stories and celebrations. From the metalworking cultures of my Celtic, Viking and Pictish ancestors, whose sensibilities around form, ornament and the enduring value of handmade objects feel as alive today as they ever were, to the mythic skies of Greek astronomy, the wild imagination of a child, and the fleeting extravagance of a flower in full bloom
Each piece is made to last, from solid metal — gold, silver and brass — and finished by hand, using techniques that have changed little in thousands of years. These are materials that can be shaped, reshaped, melted down and begun again. Nothing is wasted. Vera Poetica is located on Gumbaynggirr Country. We are blessed to be ever inspired by it's magical landscapes. We honour the Gumbaynggirr people as the traditional custodians of this land and pay our respects to Elders past, present and emerging.
