Gently polish with a soft silver polishing cloth to restore shine. Avoid harsh chemical cleaners, ultrasonic cleaners and abrasive materials. For stubborn tarnish a small amount of mild dish soap in warm water with a soft brush works well — rinse thoroughly and dry completely before storing.

 

Cleaning Brass

Brass develops a natural patina over time which many people love. To maintain shine polish gently with a soft cloth. A small amount of lemon juice or mild soap can remove tarnish — rinse and dry thoroughly afterwards.

 

Cleaning Gold

Gold is the most durable of the metals used in Vera Poetica pieces. Polish gently with a soft cloth. A mild soap and warm water solution with a soft brush will remove any build up — rinse thoroughly and dry completely.

Brass is an ancient and noble metal with a rich golden warmth that develops beautiful character over time. Like all living metals it will patina naturally — this is not a flaw but a feature, giving each piece its own unique story. Your brass piece can be polished back to its original lustre at any time with a soft cloth or gentle brass polish.

 

Australian Opals

Opals are relatively soft and require gentle handling. Avoid sudden temperature changes, prolonged exposure to water and harsh chemicals. Store opal pieces away from direct sunlight and extreme heat.
